Completed Ambassador Projects
Meike Rombach, Senior Lecturer in Horticultural Marketing in the Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce, completed a Learning and Teaching Ambassador role in 2024. Meike's project was "Teaching Case Studies", and during her Ambassador role she shared extensive experience teaching with, and publishing, case studies with colleagues and assisted them in using case studies in their teaching.
Meike's deliverables, many of which can be found on Teaching at Lincoln, include:
- A resource on writing teaching case studies
- A resource on how to incorporate teaching case studies in your classroom
- A resource on publishing teaching case studies
- Recording of a podcast with colleagues sharing case study experiences
- A resource on teaching case studies using artificial intelligence (AI)
- Delivered a workshop to AGCM staff on teaching case studies
- Provided individual advice to colleagues on teaching case studies
- Collaborated with colleagues on writing a case study
- Delivered a workshop at the AGCM staff teaching case study retreat, including the preparation of an example case study
- Drafted material for the staff development workshops and presented this to Learning and Teaching Excellence for review
- Delivered two streams of five Generative AI staff professional development workshops
- Provided relevant material and examples to staff who attended the workshops
- Supported teaching staff with AI and Generative AI tools
- Supported tutors and lecturers with AI and Generative AI tools

Meike Rombach is a Senior Lecturer in Horticultural Marketing in the Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce. Meike’s project for the Learning and Teaching Ambassadors Programme is “Aʻoaʻoga e tali atu i aganuʻu – Approaches to culturally responsive teaching for Pasifika learners. Meike will share knowledge and provide guidance on integrating diverse cultural perspectives into learning and teaching through workshops, a video and/or podcast series, and written resources. |

Nic Lees is a Senior Lecturer in Agribusiness in the Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce. Nic’s project for the Learning and Teaching Ambassadors Programme is “Preparing students for an AI-driven future: Teaching AI skills and developing career-ready AI competencies”. Nic will share knowledge and provide guidance to help other staff effectively integrate AI into their courses through the development of resource guides and delivery of workshops. |

Nik Lehto is an Associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry in the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Nik’s project for the Learning and Teaching Ambassadors Programme is “Using video lectures to support deep learning of scientific concepts”.
